We use the present perfect when we talk about unfinished time
เราจะใช้ present perfect เมื่อเราพูดถึงสิ่งที่ยังไม่เสร็จ หรือเป็นสิ่งที่เราเริ่มทำมาแล้วตั้งแต่อดีตมาจนถึงปัจจุบันที่ยังคงจะทำต่อเนื่องไป ทีนี้เรามาแยกเรื่อง ช่วงเวลาเกี่ยวกับการเริ่มต้น กับการสิ้นสุด แบบไหนเรียกว่า Finished Time แบบไหน Unfinished Time และแบบไหน Not Started Time
- Finished Time: เริ่มต้นทำแล้ว และเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว [/ Did it start? / Did it finish?] คำบ่งชี้ก็จะได้แก่ yeaterday ,this morning , 2weeks ago, last month ,last……
- Unfinished Time : เริ่มต้นทำแล้ว แต่ยังไม่เสร็จ [/ Did it start? X Did it finish?] คำบ่งชี้ก็จะได้แก่ today, now, this month, this….. อันนี้แหล่ะคือ Present Perfect
- Not Started Time : อันนี้ยังไม่ได้เริ่มต้นและยังไม่เสร็จ [X Did it start? X Did it finish?] คำบ่งชี้ก็จะได้แก่ tomorrow , next month , next….
We use the present perfect to talk about events in our lives because they have started but they are not finished
How do we make the present perfect?
Subject + Has/Have + Past participle (Verb Three)
– I have eaten dinner.
– I haven’t(have not) eaten dinner.
– She/He has given a pen.
– She/He hasn’t (has not) given a pen.
How do we make a question?
Has/Have + Subject + Past participle (Verb Three)
– Have you eaten dinner ?
– Has she been Japan?
We answer with…
Yes, I have No I haven’t
Yes , she has No, she hasn’t
When you want to ask about someone’s life, we add ever in to the question
Have you ever been to Italy?
And answer….
Yes, I have (been to Italy) Yes, he has (been to Italy)
No, I have never been to Italy No, he has never been to Italy
We NEVER say “I have ever been to London”
ONLY “I have been to London”
