วลีกริยา หรือ Phrasal Verb เกี่ยวกับ Give มีหลายคำที่น่าสนใจ มาเรียนรู้ความหมายและตัวอย่างกันดังนี้
- Give away มี 2 ความหมาย คือ
- หมายถึง ให้ของ ให้คนอื่น เช่น I didn’t like that book, so I gave it away.
- หมายถึง เปิดเผยความลับให้บางคนรู้ เช่น She gave herself away with a stupid lie.
- Give back หมายถึง นำกลับคืนมา คืน เช่น Give me back my pen!
- Give forth หมายถึง ปล่อย คลาย ปลดปล่อย เช่น The chimney gave forth a cloud of grey smoke.
- Give out หมายถึง กระจาย ส่งออก แจกจ่าย เช่น Can you help me to give out the new books to the class, please?
- Give over หมายถึง มอบความไว้วางใจให้อีกคนหนึ่ง เช่น She gave the deeds over to the solicitor.
- Give up หมายถึง ยอมแพ้ ยอม เช่น They gave him up to the police.
