ดีที่สุด เยี่ยมที่สุด เหมาะสมที่สุด ในภาษาอังกฤษคนส่วนใหญ่ก็จะใช้คำว่า The best ซึ่งเป็นคำศัพท์ขั้นกว่าที่ทุกคนคุ้นเคยกันมาตั้งแต่เด็กๆ แต่วันนี้เรามีคำศัพท์ที่มีความหมายแบบเดียวกับคำว่า Best พร้อมตัวอย่างแบบต่างๆมาฝากด้วย เพื่อเป็นการเพิ่มคลังคำศัพท์ในสมองเรา มาเรียนรู้เพิ่มเติมกันเลย

• Greatest หมายถึง ใหญ่ที่สุด อะไรที่ใหญ่ที่สุดส่วนมากมักจะดีที่สุดเช่นกัน เช่น New Yorkers think live in the greatest city on earth.
• Finest หมายถึง ดีงาม ดีที่สุด เลิศ เช่น Hemingway was the finest American writer of his generation.
• Top (Only before noun) หมายถึง บนสุด เหนือสุด อันดับหนึ่ง เราจะใช้ Top นำหน้าคำนามเสมอ เช่น He is definitely one of the world’s top golfers.
• Ultimate (Usually before noun) หมายถึง ที่สุด ขั้นสุด ส่วนใหญ่เราจะใช้ Ultimate นำหน้าคำนาม เช่น Monroe was the ultimate Hollywood movie star.
• First-rate / First class หมายถึง อันดับหนึ่ง ชั้นหนึ่ง ดีที่สุด เช่น The service is first-rate.
• Second to none หมายถึง ไม่เป็นที่สองรองใคร เช่น We provide a service that is second to one.
• Premier หมายถึง เลิศ ที่หนึ่ง ครั้งแรก เช่น It’s the island’s premier resort.
• Top-of –the –range / Top of the line หมายถึง ลำดับสูงสุด อันดับหนึ่ง เช่น She has top-of-the-range kitchen appliances.
