เราสามารถ สังเกตได้ว่าคำๆนั้นเป็นคำ Adjective (คุณศัพท์) โดยการสังเกตจาก Suffix (คำที่ลงท้ายคำ)
ตัวอย่าง Suffix ที่เจอบ่อยในคำ Adjective ก็คือ

| -y | cloudy, rainy, windy |
บางครั้งเราไม่ทราบคำหมายแต่ก็สามารถพอเดาได้ว่าคำที่ลงท้ายด้วย Suffix เหล่านี้ เป็นคำประเภท Adjective นั้นเอง
