เชื่อว่าหลายคนมักมีโอกาสได้ใช้บ่อย กับคำว่า few และ little ในชีวิตกระจำวันอย่างแน่นอน แต่ทำไมบางครั้งก็ไม่เคยจะจำได้ว่าจะใช้ few และ little ในตอนไหนได้บ้าง เพื่อให้การใช้งานที่เป็นไปอย่างธรรมชาติ เราแนะนำว่าให้จดจำรูปประโยคตัวอย่าง จะให้ให้เราไม่ลืมการใช้อย่างถูกต้องแน่นอน วันนี้เราจึงนำ  A little,  little, A few และ Few มาฝาก ดังนี้

A little: ใช้กับจำนวนที่เป็นในเชิงบวกและคำนามที่นับไม่ได้ หมายถึง “จำนวนเล็กน้อย” หรือ “บางส่วน”

ตัวอย่างประโยค

• Mika got a little bit of pie.
• There is a little milk in the refrigerator
• Would you like a little water?
• I need a little I will have tea.
• Can’t you discount it a little?

Little: ใช้กับจำนวนที่เป็นในเชิงลบ หมายถึง “เกือบไม่มีอะไร” หรือ “ไม่มาก”

• The kitten is little.
• There was little time to finish my homework.

A few:  ใช้กับปริมาณที่เป็นบวกและคู่กับคำนามพหูพจน์ หมายถึง “บางส่วน” หรือ “จำนวนเล็กน้อย”

A few + Plural Countable Nouns
